Replacing and Resetting perimeter coping stones
Special Considerations
- Natural stone almost never needs to be replaced, is the most common for resetting.
- Most stones used for coping should be sealed to protect them from weather, water damage, and staining.
- Pools with curvature have "radius coping". For these scenarios, the stones need to be sent our for cutting. This incurs a separate cost to the project.
- The space between the coping stone and the pool patio is called an "expansion joint". This allows for natural shift. It needs to be caulked.
