SKIMMER REPLACEMENT DETAILS

Proper Identification

Always make sure that you are 100% the issue is the skimmer before replacing it! It could be the associated plumbing.

Basing the tile

The old beam will need to be chipped, scraped, & possibly repaired before prepping the base. you CANNOT use mortar to set tile!

Spacing

Once the tiles have been set, they will need to be spaced before drying. Technique is crucial with vertical spacing.

Grouting the tiles

The type of grout used is essential. Using the wrong type could be detrimental. This is done after setting.
